Performing a comprehensive pre-assessment compatibility check allows you to understand additional proctoring details regarding your upcoming proctored assessments, including the assessment restrictions and necessary verification on external devices, such as audio and video.
Running Compatibility Check
Run a compatibility check before starting your proctored assessment to ensure your device works with the Verity Browser Extension. You must download the Verity browser extension before completing this compatibility check.
- Open a supported browser such as Chrome, Opera, Brave, or Edge.
- Log in to your Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle.
- Go to your course, then select the YuJa Verity LTI link located in the course.
Note: If you cannot locate the YuJa Verity LTI link in your course, please reach out to your course instructor for more assistance. - On the Proctored Assessments page, locate your assessment and click the More Actions icon.
- Select Check Compatibility from the drop-down menu.
- Click Perform System Check to start your compatibility check.
- General Check: Verity will perform the general check on your device automatically.

System Check: Select your video and audio source, then click Confirm.

ID Check: Click Take Photo to take a photo of your ID card and face for identity verification. After taking both photos, click Upload to upload your photos.
- Applied Limits: Verity will automatically perform the check on your device based on the restrictions set by your instructor.
- Review the compatibility check report to ensure all FAILED checks are resolved before starting an assessment. If you cannot resolve the FAILED checks, please contact YuJa Support.
