YuJa Verity requires users to authenticate themselves before they can access any of the available proctoring features. Please follow the steps below to learn how to authenticate yourself through the Verity Browser Extension or the Lockdown App.
Authenticating Yourself Through the Verity Browser Extension
The Verity Browser Extension allows you to create or take assessments within supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, or Edge.
- Launch a supported browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, or Edge.
- Log in to your Learning Management System and navigate to a course that contains the Verity LTI link.
- Select the YuJa Verity LTI link located in the course. Note: If you need help locating the Verity LTI link, please reach out to your course instructor or admin.
- From the left-side navigation menu, under Proctored Tools, select Automated Proctoring.
- You will need to complete the steps below to authenticate yourself:
- Ensure you're on a supported browser: Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge, or Brave. We recommend using Chrome for the most reliable proctoring session.
- Install the Verity extension.
- Once authenticated, you can join a proctored assessment or create proctored assessments within Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle.
Authenticating Yourself Through the Verity Lockdown App
The Lockdown App features a more secure testing environment by providing access to advanced proctoring features. Before proceeding with the steps below, please download the Veirty Lockdown App.
- Launch the Lockdown App, log in to your Learning Management System, and navigate to a course that contains the Verity LTI link.
- Select the YuJa Verity LTI link located in the course. Note: If you need help locating the Verity LTI link, please reach out to your course instructor or admin.
- From the left-side navigation menu, under Proctored Tools, select Lockdown App to authenticate yourself.
- Once authenticated, you can join a proctored assessment or create proctored assessments within Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle.
