YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring allows you to monitor and record the proctor settings of students during online assessments. Proctor settings are the rules and conditions that are set for assessments, such as webcam, microphone, disabling new tabs, etc. When a student attempts to violate any of these settings, YuJa Verity will flag it as an event and capture it in the proctor recording. You can review the proctor recordings and the flagged events for each student in the Verity Results table (BlackBoard Ultra, Blackboard SaaS, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Moodle) after the assessment is complete. In the table below, you can view all proctor settings Verity will flag and record, along with the severity level Verity will assign the event.

| Video Recording | A recording of the student will be taken for the duration of the assessment. If Verity cannot access the video camera at any point during the assessment, it will be flagged. | Severe |
| Screen Recording | A recording of the student's screen will be taken for the duration of the assessment. If Verity cannot access the screen recording at any point during the assessment, it will be flagged. | Severe |
| Record Web Traffic | Records URLs that are visited during the assessment. When a student requests access to a website, it will be flagged. | Major |
| Screenshots | Keystrokes will be flagged if students attempt to take a screenshot (e.g. PrtScr). If using the Lockdown App, Verity will prevent students from taking screenshots. | Major |
| Only One Screen | Students will only be permitted to use one monitor during the assessment. If additional monitors are connected, they will be flagged. | Major |
| Disable New Tabs | Students will not be able to open new tabs once the assessment begins. Any attempts to open a new tab will be flagged. | Minor |
| Copy & Paste | Students will be prevented from saving text to the Clipboard. Keystrokes will be flagged if students attempt to copy text (e.g. Ctrl + C). | Minor |
| Tab Loses Focus | A tab is in focus when students are able to provide information on the tab, such as selecting answers or entering information in text boxes. Clicking away from the tab will cause the tab to lose focus (i.e. the student can no longer enter information on the tab until they click on the tab again). Verity will monitor the tab the assessment is opened in and flag an event if the assessment tab loses focus. | Minor |
