Table Does Not Have a Header

Table headers help give context to the information residing within the table cells. See more information on the WCAG Guideline: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships.

In Excel, the Table Design tab, Header Row setting, and the column header titles are highlighted.

  1. For Microsoft Office 365 users, select any cell in the table.
  2. Click the Table Design tab in the Ribbon.
  3. Ensure that Header Row is checked in Table Style Options.
  4. Add column headings to the table.
