The following guide provides steps that outline how an Instructor can add Video Platform media content to Blackboard Ultra course material using the Video Platform Media Chooser with Analytics which supports Video Quiz Gradebook Sync and Analytics.
Using the Media Chooser with Analytics in Course Content
Instructors can use the Media Chooser with Analytics to embed Video Platform videos and Video Quizzes into a Blackboard Ultra Course. This workflow does support automatic Gradebook Sync.
- Log in to Blackboard Ultra as an Instructor and select the course you would like to add Course Content to.
- Click on the Course Content button located in the upper right corner.
- Click on the Add button under Course Content and select Content Market.
- Locate and select the Media Chooser with Analytics. Please note that naming may vary.
- From the Media Chooser with Analytics, you can post videos, upload media, or even create a new recording for your associated YuJa account. Select the video you would like to post to Blackboard from the provided list.
- Once a video is selected, click Insert Content to add as a content item to your course.
Using the Media Chooser with Analytics in Discussions
Instructors can use the Media Chooser with Analytics to embed Video Platform videos into a Blackboard Ultra Course. This workflow does not support Gradebook Sync.
- Log in to Blackboard Ultra as an Instructor and select the course you would like to add a Discussions topic to.
- Click on the Discussions button located in the upper right corner and select Add Discussions.
- Format the Discussions post by adding a title and text.
- To insert a video, click the Insert Content button to open the dropdown menu and select LTI Item.
- Locate the Media Chooser with Analytics within the Content Market. Please note that naming may vary.
- From the Media Chooser with Analytics, you can post videos, upload media, or even create a new recording for your associated YuJa account. Select the media you would like to post to Blackboard from the provided list and click Insert Content.
- Change the Display Name, if needed, and click Insert.
- Click Save to post the Discussions Topic.
