Since all pages of a scanned PDF are images, screen readers can’t access the scanned pages. By using the Panorama optical character recognition tool, scanned PDFs can be converted into searchable documents. To further enhance the accessibility of the document, consider setting the title, language, and headings to the converted searchable PDF.
The Document Is Scanned
- To use the optical character recognition tool, drag and drop your document into the My Content page within the Panorama Platform.
- Click the Accessibility icon, select OCR, and then click OCR PDF to produce a document that is searchable.
