Individuals who are unable to view the content rely on specialized tools such as screen readers to verbally relay the content in a specific sequence. It is important to ensure that the embedded reading order within the document is correct when read back through these tools.
To guarantee that the content is accessible to all, our reading order checks are designed to be sensitive. If the reading order embedded in the document is accurate, you may disregard this issue.
Check Reading Order
- For PowerPoint users, with your presentation open, select the Review tab, then click on the Check Accessibility drop-down arrow.

Next, select the Reading Order Pane.

Validate that the reading order shown in the reading order panel is correct.

Fix the reading order by dragging and dropping items, or by selecting and using the arrows to shift the items to the correct order, and uncheck any decorative items to be excluded from the reading order.
