Faculty can proctor assessments live with YuJa Verity and intervene before any unauthorized assistance or academic misconduct takes place, effectively preventing any suspicious activities as they arise.
Overview of live assessment proctoring in YuJa Verity
-
YuJa Verity provides optional live proctoring intervention for several settings, which can be enabled in a drop-down menu under Institution-Wide Settings. See the section below on settings that allow for live proctoring intervention for more details on configurable live proctoring intervention capabilities.
- When live intervention is enabled, proctors will receive alerts with the given flag level (Minor, Major, or Severe) each time an event is flagged. Proctors can then address the events with the student in real time via the interactive chat window or built-in audio bridge, allowing proctors to proactively resolve issues as they arise.
Live chat and audio bridge for communication with students
Proctors can communicate with test-takers via an interactive live chat or audio bridge, which establishes a real-time, two-way audio and text chat connection between live proctors and test-takers during an active online assessment. These features enable proctors to help test-takers work through technical issues, understand test-taker concerns, and resolve issues over flagged events that indicate potential academic integrity violations.
