Integrating the Verity Test Proctoring Platform into Blackboard Learn Ultra

Verity allows instructors to create proctored assessments for test-takers within Blackboard Learn Ultra. To allow instructors and test-takers to access Verity, as an admin, you must connect your Blackboard Learn Ultra account with Verity.

Adding YuJa Verity to Blackboard Learn Ultra

Before you start the integration process, ensure you have obtained a Client ID from your Account Manager.

  1. Log in to Blackboard as a Blackboard Full Administrator and select Admin from the side navbar.
    Admin button is highlighted in the side panel.
     
  2. Under the Integrations section, click LTI Tool Providers. 
    LTI Tools Providers is selected in the Administrator Tools page.
     
  3. Click Register LTI 1.3/AdvantageTool.
    Register LTI 1.3/AdvantageTool is selected in the Administrator Tools page.
  4. Enter the Client ID provided by your Account Manager and click Submit.

  5. Copy the Deployment ID shown.

  6. Click Submit.
  7. Send the Deployment ID and the URL of your LMS to your Account Manager to finish the integration process.

Integrating Verity's API for Quiz Accessing

The REST API is an integration that allows instructors to delete Verity quizzes and create Verity practice quizzes in Blackboard Learn Ultra to help students familiarize themselves with Verity. Learn more about the permissions needed to enable the REST API integration for Verity.

  1. Log in to Blackboard as a Blackboard Full Administrator and select Admin from the side navbar.
    Admin button is highlighted in the side panel.
     
  2. Under the Integrations section, click REST API Integrations.
    REST API integrations is selected in the Administrator Tools page.
     
  3. Click Create Integration.

  4. Under GENERAL INFORMATION, fill in the required information:
    • Application ID: The Client ID received from your Account Manager.
    • Learn User: Select a user that the REST integration will be associated with.
      Note: The REST integration will not work if the user is removed.
    • End User Access: Yes
    • Authorized To Act As User: Yes
  5. Click Submit.

  6. Under the page title, click Administrator Panel to go back to the Administrator Tools page.
  7. Select Cross-Origin Resource Sharing.

  8. Click Create Configuration.

  9. Under GENERAL INFORMATION, fill in the required information based on your Zone:
    • US Zone
      • Origin: https://zone1.verity.yuja.com
      • Available: Yes
    • AUS Zone
      • Origin: https://az.verity.yuja.com
      • Available: Yes
  10. Click Submit.
    The general information field and the submit button are highlighted.

Note: To set up your integration with Verity, make sure you have sent your Deployment ID to your Account Manager to complete the final setup process.
